PA Competitiveness Caucus to Host Regional Roundtable at Utz Quality Foods

Hanover, PA — Legislators from the Pennsylvania Competitiveness Caucus will convene in Hanover on Tuesday, April 15, for the first in a series of regional roundtable events aimed at promoting collaboration between policymakers and private-sector leaders to enhance Pennsylvania’s economic competitiveness.

Hosted by Utz Quality Foods, Inc., the event will feature a tour of the company’s distribution center followed by a roundtable discussion with local business leaders from Hanover and York County. The conversation will focus on identifying and advancing policies that foster economic growth, workforce development, and a competitive business climate across the Commonwealth, particularly for the manufacturing sector.

Formed in early 2025, the Pennsylvania Competitiveness Caucus is a bipartisan, bicameral initiative of the General Assembly focused on advancing policies that strengthen the Commonwealth’s economic future. The caucus strives to achieve legislative progress and success on policies which promote job creation and sustainable growth, while enhancing Pennsylvania’s competitive edge in national and global markets. Led by co-chairs Senator Kristin Phillips-Hill (R-York), Senator Lisa Boscola (D-Lehigh), Representative Paul Friel (D-Chester), and Representative Josh Kail (R-Beaver), over 50 members of the General Assembly are part of the caucus.
