Senator Lisa Boscola to Host PA Competitiveness Caucus Roundtable on Workforce Development

Diverse Multiethnic People with Different Jobs

EASTON, PA – May 27, 2026 – Pennsylvania State Senator Lisa Boscola (D-Northampton), co-chair of the Pennsylvania Competitiveness Caucus, will host a regional roundtable focused on workforce development at Crayola’s headquarters in Easton. The event, organized in partnership with the Pennsylvania Chamber of Business and Industry, will bring together fellow caucus members and Lehigh Valley business leaders to examine how apprenticeship programs can help address the Commonwealth’s growing workforce challenges.

The roundtable will feature a discussion with the Lehigh Valley Economic Development Corporation on its Industrial Training and Education Consortium — known as iTEC — a multi-employer registered apprenticeship model connecting job seekers to careers in high-growth industries across the Lehigh Valley.

The Pennsylvania Competitiveness Caucus is a bipartisan, bicameral group of legislators committed to advancing policies that drive economic growth, attract investment, and build a stronger workforce across the Commonwealth. The Caucus has hosted a series of regional roundtables across Pennsylvania for the purpose of bringing lawmakers face-to-face with industry leaders to identify barriers and solutions to Pennsylvania’s long-term competitiveness.
